Our God is good and gracious, and we give thanks and offer songs of praise in celebration of His love for us. Our participation in the worship life of the congregation is a public witness of our confidence in God. As we gather, we know that the Lord encourages and strengthens our faith through the public preaching and teaching of His Word, through the Sacraments, and through the witness of fellow Christians in church.

The liturgy and music of our church is all geared toward honoring, thanking, and confessing to our God our Christian faith. He has given His church through the years many hymns that we sing that bless us in knowledge of the faith and reception of His gifts. We follow the example of the Psalmist who writes,

Praise the Lord
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Praise the Lord" (Psalm 150).

It is our hope that our Sunday gatherings provide us opportunities to encourage and support one another. As Paul writes,

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing" (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Community can be a very vague term. For us it is all about a very real and powerful promise that we make to our neighbors and to each other. We promise to stand beside each other. We promise to stand beside each other in all circumstances and strive at all times to be helpful to one another.
