The name comes from the ancient custom of the imposition of ashes, which reminds us of God’s Word in Job, where it is written of man: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return” (Job 42:6). This day is a reminder that we, too, shall die, and therefore need forgiveness from Jesus.  Two services will be held for Ash Wednesday, March 5th, at 2 PM and 6 PM.
