Maundy Thursday Service
Maundy Thursday is named after the the Latin word for “command,” referring to Jesus’ commandment to His disciples to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34-35). Our Maundy Thursday celebration and recognition is especially fixated around Holy Communion, which Jesus instituted in the Last Supper with His disciples. In giving us His very body and blood, Jesus promises that this Holy Meal grants forgiveness for sins. Thanks be to God for this Sacrament! Hope to see you at worship on Thursday, where we celebrate this day of Holy Week.
